With the wilds of Bleaklow and Margery Hill on our doorstep, Langsett makes an obvious base for exploring some of the finest and quietest moors of the peak district.

For the experienced hill walker the landscape provides a fabulous arena for navigating the peat uplands to discover some tucked away gems of the Peaks. But don't worry if you don't know your North from your South, the popular walk around Langsett Reservoir takes 2 hrs, is well signposted and maintained by Yorkshire Water and provides everything from woodland, dipping ponds and packhorse bridges to moorland views across the Little Don Valley.
