Control measures in place
HANDWASHING
IN THE KITCHEN
Hand washing is part of our food safety training. Refresher training being given to all returning staff
Signage used at critical points such as the till and the takeaway collection counter
IN THE CAFE
Sanitiser stations at critical points (toilet entrance, counter, takeaway collection counter)
Toilet is equipped with a wall mounted hand soap dispenser and paper towels
Signage encouraging customers to wash or sanitise hands as appropriate
CLEANING
IN THE KITCHEN
We use the Safer Food Better Business policy to dictate our kitchen cleaning regime.
Food Safe Sanitiser is used on all food contact surfaces.
IN THE CAFE
Tables are cleaned between customers with Sanitiser
Hard surfaces such as the counter and door handles are cleaned regularly with Sanitiser.
Toilets are cleaned regularly throughout the day.
Sanitiser and disposable cloth available for customers to do additional cleaning should they wish
Signage to discourage customers putting things on the counter whilst ordering
Condiment sachets given out by the waiting staff when delivering food to the table
SOCIAL DISTANCING
IN THE KITCHEN
Kitchen layout improved to provide a socially distanced barista station
Minimal movement procedure is part of the Covid-19 Safe System of Work.
Sneeze guards used to protect staff at the counter and takeaway collection point
IN THE CAFE
Movement in the café controlled by one-way system
30% of seating and tables removed
External roped queuing system for ordering with social distance markings on the floor
Toilets are one-in-one-out with separate external queue
Picnic tables limited to 6 people using signage
Signage to remind parents that they are responsible for the safe conduct of their children
PPE
Additional PPE is not required. However, if any staff wish to wear facemasks, they are welcome to.
Doors and windows kept open to increase airflow
SYMPTOMS
IN THE KITCHEN
Training has been updated to include instructions for what staff should do if they, or members of their household are displaying symptoms of Covid-19
IN THE CAFE
Customers encouraged not to enter the café if they have symptoms using signage
CONTACT TRACING
Customers sitting in must leave their contact details when ordering. These will be destroyed after 21 days
